Why a factory open day is worth the trip

Georgia’s dental market is not large, but the clinical standards expected of precision dental equipment are no lower than anywhere else. Dentists there typically need two things from a supplier at the same time: instruments that hold up to years of clinical use, and a partner who can provide ongoing technical support and spare parts.

That is the context in which the delegation requested this visit. The four-day schedule was deliberately dense — from the classroom to the production floor, from equipment to case discussion. Around the endodontic discipline, SOCO arranged dedicated practical courses bringing together industry experts for in-depth teaching, giving the delegation direct exposure to advanced treatment concepts and equipment applications.

The expert sessions focused on current challenges in endodontic treatment and emergency management strategies, integrating theory, clinical cases, and hands-on experience into a single coherent programme.

Inside the production facility

Throughout the tour, the delegation stopped repeatedly to ask questions — commenting favourably on SOCO’s equipment, environmental standards, and process discipline. Seeing each step of how a product comes together gave them a clearer read on what the brand stands for in practice.

The programme structure: learn, see, test

To make the visit genuinely useful rather than a courtesy call, SOCO structured the four days around three stages:

• Learn — targeted lectures: Industry experts covered practical difficulties in endodontic treatment, working through management approaches using real cases.
• See — open production floor: Core production areas were opened so the group could follow the full path from components to finished instruments, including quality management.
• Test — hands-on evaluation: Microscopes, NiTi endodontic files and other core products were available to use, converting specifications into tactile judgement.

Closing the programme

The visit concluded with a welcome dinner. Both sides sat down together to share perspectives and discuss the road ahead — technical ideas exchanged in conversation, cultural understanding built through interaction, and a clearer shared view of cooperation possibilities.

Beyond the hospitality itself, the evening reflected a broader position: SOCO operates openly and with a long-term partnership mindset. It was a fitting end to a programme that mixed factory open day with genuine academic exchange.
